Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 26, 2026
Wrigleyville Iowa City is committed to making both our website and our venue usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to meeting our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Iowa Civil Rights Act.
Our Commitment
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We review our website and our physical space periodically, train staff on serving guests with disabilities, and correct barriers as we learn about them.
Website Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks, a single main region per page, and a logical heading order.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and empty alt text on decorative images.
- Accessible names on icon-only buttons and links, and labels associated with every form field.
- Full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators; no keyboard traps.
- Color contrast targeted at WCAG AA ratios, and never using color alone to convey meaning.
- Tap targets sized for touch devices and layouts that reflow on mobile without horizontal scrolling.
- Form errors announced in text, not just color, with clear instructions for correction.
- Dialogs and menus built on accessible component primitives that manage focus and announce state.
- No auto-playing audio, and no content that flashes more than three times per second.
Conformance Status
We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This site is partially conformant: most content meets the standard, but some third-party or user-contributed content — such as embedded social media feeds, mapping tools, review widgets, and league-provided schedule data — is outside our direct control and may not fully conform. We ask those vendors to improve their accessibility and will provide the same information in an accessible format on request.
Physical Accessibility at the Venue
Our location at 118 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City, IA 52240 is in a historic downtown building. If you have questions about entrance access, seating, restrooms, service animals, or any accommodation you need for a visit or a private event, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to arrange it. Service animals are always welcome.
Feedback and Requesting Assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site or need information in an alternative format — including menu contents, event details, or help completing a form — contact us and we will assist you directly and work to fix the issue.
